Habiganj Unnayan Sangstha has completed 24 years with admirable experiences and significant progress. Habiganj Unnayan Sangstha has been preserving dedication to attain, vision, mission, goal and its objectpives since its inception and continued till now.

Habiganj Unnayan Sangstha is a development, humanitarian, non-profit, non-political, non-government organization (NGO) established in January 2001. The head office is Habiganj Unnayan Sangstha located in the district headquarters of Habiganj. It is involved in implementing multi dimensional development activities in Sylhet division of Bangladesh. During the initial few years, Habiganj Unnayan Sangstha only operated micro-finance program in Habiganj district. In 2005 year, it has started others community development activities in remote and underserved areas of greater Sylhet. Program of Habiganj Unnayan Sangstha are expanding with the support of Bangladesh Government, National and International donors like as Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), Save The Children international, Monusher Jonno Foundation (MJF), Ain-O-Salish Kendra (ASK), Oxfam, Unicef (LCBCE Project), UNDP (UPPR- Habiganj Pourashava), Bangladesh Bank (Grihayan Tahobil), NGO Forum for Public Health, PRIP Trust, Practical Action Bangladesh, Acid Survivors Foundation, Ministry of Primary and Mass Education and Ministry of Women Affairs, Manabadhikar Shongskriti Foundation (DHRNS), BRAC(ALP). From the beginning, organization are implementing different project on Micro-finance, Education, Livelihoods, Entrepreneurships, Legal Aid, Wash, Women empowerment, Child rights, Primary health, Emergency response and Disaster management and climate change adaptation etc by the financial and technical support of different donors.
We are thankful to the members of organization’s General body, executive committee, donors and all staffs for their valuable contribution in development of poor people and organization. It has a group of professional staffs those who are committed, sincere and hard working to maintain quality of work as well as its horizontal expansion.
